Organizations Filed Purposes: FUTURE BUSINESS LEADERS OF AMERICA-PHI BETA LAMBDA (FBLA-PBL) INSPIRES AND PREPARES STUDENTS TO BECOME COMMUNITY-MINDED BUSINESS LEADERS IN A GLOBAL SOCIETY THROUGH RELEVANT CAREER PREPARATION AND LEADERSHIP EXPERIENCES. EACH YEAR, FBLA-PBL HELPS OVER 200,000 STUDENTS IN MIDDLE SCHOOL, HIGH SCHOOL, AND IN COLLEGES AND UNIVERSITIES PREPARE FOR CAREERS IN BUSINESS THROUGH ACADEMIC COMPETITIONS, COMMUNITY SERVICE, EDUCATION PROGRAMS, AND LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT.

INSPIRES AND PREPARES STUDENTS TO BECOME COMMUNITY-MINDED BUSINESS LEADERS IN A GLOBAL SOCIETY THROUGH RELEVANT CAREER PREPARATION AND LEADERSHIP EXPERIENCES.

MEETINGS: FBLA-PBL'S NATIONAL CONFERENCES HELP STUDENTS PREPARE FOR CAREERS IN BUSINESS BY FOCUSING ON ACADEMIC COMPETITIONS (NATIONAL AWARDS PROGRAM) AND LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT. IN 2019, THE ORGANIZATION HOSTED THREE HIGH SCHOOL LEADERSHIP CONFERENCES AND ONE COLLEGIATE CAREER CONNECTIONS EVENT. THE FLAGSHIP EVENT, THE NATIONAL LEADERSHIP CONFERENCE, WAS HELD IN SAN ANTONIO, TEXAS YIELDING MORE THAN 14,000 REGISTERED ATTENDEES. ATTENDEES EXPERIENCED 73 WORKSHOPS AT THE FBLA CONFERENCE AND 40 WORKSHOPS AT THE PBL CONFERENCE. LEADERSHIP SKILL BUILDING WAS AMPLIFIED DURING THE INSTITUTE FOR LEADERS WHICH SHOULDERED THE EVENT AND WAS ATTENDED BY 400.

AWARDS:THE FBLA-PBL NATIONAL AWARDS PROGRAM, ALSO KNOWN AS COMPETITIVE EVENTS, RECOGNIZES AND REWARDS EXCELLENCE IN A BROAD RANGE OF BUSINESS AND CAREER-RELATED AREAS. AT THE 2019 NATIONAL LEADERSHIP CONFERENCE EVENT, 9,649 HIGH SCHOOL AND 2,424 COLLEGIATE COMPETITORS COMPETED IN EVENTS YIELDING MORE THAN $220,000 IN CASH SCHOLARSHIP AWARDS.

MEMBERSHIP:FBLA-PBL IS THE LARGEST CAREER STUDENT BUSINESS ORGANIZATION IN THE WORLD. REPRESENTING MIDDLE SCHOOL, HIGH SCHOOL, AND COLLEGE, MEMBERS CONTRIBUTE TO THEIR COMMUNITIES AND SCHOOLS WHILE MAXIMIZING THEIR OWN POTENTIAL. ENHANCING LEADERSHIP SKILLS IN SCHOOL AND COMMUNITY IS AT THE CORE OF EDUCATION PROGRAMS. RECENT PROGRAMS INCLUDE BUSINESS ACHIEVEMENT AWARDS (FBLA), CAREER AND MEMBERSHIP AWARDS PROGRAM (PBL), AND LEAD AWARDS (FBLA-ML). DURING THE 2018-19 MEMBERSHIP YEAR, 8,501, 77, AND 443 STUDENTS HAVE PARTICIPATED IN THESE PROGRAMS, RESPECTIVELY.
