Organizations Filed Purposes: The National Court Reporters Foundation supports the reporting and captioning profession through philanthropic activities funded through charitable contributions.

Special Projects:Projects which examine special issues in the field of court reporting. These projects help the Foundation's related professional membership association advance the professionalism and technology of court reporting.

Public Education:NCRF interacts with judicial and public groups and law schools to foster mutually beneficial exchange of ideas and to update and educate them on the benefits of court reporting technology, through the legal education for law students, attorneys and judges, and our veterans history program, whereby we facilitate the transcription of veterans oral histories into electronic text to preserve history and to provide a searchable database. NCRF's student initiatives program provides membership in the related professional membership association in return for transcribing oral histories, thereby providing students with the educational opportunities and benefits of membership. NCRF's CART services program supports the CART community by providing deaf and hard-of-hearing organizations with a grant for CART providers. Also, NCRF provides education for students and new working reporters on professionalism, branding, and business development.

Student Initiative:NCRF awards scholarships annually to support the profession's future. A cash award given to students who meet specific criteria and exemplify professional qualities of an outstanding reporter or captioner. NCRF also awards one grant to a new working reporter in their first year out of school.
