The Institute for Biblical Languages and Translation (IBLT) resources the Bible translation movement by training translators and consultants in Biblical Hebrew, Oral Translation, and Deaf Translation. It also prepares Hebrew speakers, both Jewish and Arab, to be translation consultants and checkers. The IBLT draws from the expertise of premier local institutions while enhancing learning in the unique context of the Holy Land and its people. The goal of the Institute for Biblical Languages and Translation is to enable the training of sufficient consultants and mother tongue translators so that translation of the Old Testament can begin in every language by the year 2033. In 2019, 16 students graduated from the one-year MA program and the two-year MA program was launched with our partner organizations. 24 students graduated from the School of Biblical Hebrew in June and a new group of 29 students enrolled in the program in September.
The International Orality Network's (ION) vision is to influence the Body of Christ to make disciples of all oral learners. Oral learners are people from all over the globe, from all walks of life, and all levels of education who learn primarily or exclusively through oral, not textual means. Their lives are therefore more likely to be transformed through stories, songs, drama, proverbs, and media. ION's mission is to seek to radically influence the way oral preference learners are evangelized and discipled in every people group.
