Organizations Filed Purposes:
The Virginia Civic Engagement Table strengthens and connects Virginias progressive nonprofit organizations and activists and acts as a hub for the larger progressive community. We believe our commonwealth works best when every voice is heard.
Civic Engagement - VCET provides tools and resources to its partners and to the residents of the Commonwealth to engage more often and more effectively with their government.
The Virginia Civic Engagement Table (VCET) will focus on collaboration to increase the self-response rates to the 2020 Census within hard to count populations in Virginia.
Virginia Progressive Leadership Project - The VAPLP is a year-long program designed to identify and develop emerging, diverse leaders in Virginia. At the core of the program is a commitment to creating a progressive leadership development model that works to address structural and racial inequities. The curriculum includes training on fundraising, story telling, board development, community organizing and relationship building. In 2018, we graduated 32 leaders from our program.
