Organizations Filed Purposes:
Support indigent eye clinic which provides medical eye services, surgical eye services, and prescriptions for glasses. Fund low vision centers. Provide educational grants to the visually handicapped. Support related existing educational programs.
Grant program to assist visually impaired individuals with their educational pursuits to improve their ability to better acclimate andfunction independently. To be used for tuition and equipment related tothe educational pursuit. 32 recipients in fiscal year ended June 30, 2020.
Help equip Lions Eye Clinic and Inova hospital. Lions Eye Clinic and Inova hospital administer eyecare to needy individuals that would not be covered otherwise. We also assist the clubs on an as needed basis in their quest to help the vision impaired. In 2019 these contributions included a retinal scanner and bioptic equipment.
Annual donation to assist with the operating expenses at the Lions Eye Clinic. In 2019 the clinic served 1,538 unique patients with a total of 4,935 visits/appointments.
