Organizations Filed Purposes:
CAFI'S MISSION IS TO LIMIT THE SUFFERING OF HIV IMPACTED CHILDREN AND THEIR FAMILIES GLOBALLY. BECAUSE SUB-SAHARAN AFRICAN NATIONS HAVE BEEN THE HARDEST HIT BY THE HIV/AIDS PANDEMIC, CAFI HAS WORKED IN MULTIPLE COUNTRIES THERE MANAGING PREVENTION, CLINICAL TREATMENT AND CARE PROGRAMS. TO PROVIDE MORE COMPREHENSIVE SERVICES, CAFI ALSO SPONSORS ECONOMIC EMPOWERMENT PROJECTS FOR PARENTS, AS WELL AS NUTRITION PROJECTS, SCHOOL SCHOLARSHIPS AND PSYCHOSOCIAL SUPPORT FOR ORPHANS AND VULNERABLE CHILDREN. CAFI WORKS WITH LOCAL COUNTRY PARTNERS, LOCAL GOVERNMENTS, MINISTRIES OF HEALTH AND OTHERS TO IMPLEMENT THESE LIFE-SAVING PROGRAMS. IN ADDITION, CAFI HAS PROVIDED GENERAL HIV/AIDS EDUCATION, PREVENTION PROGRAMS, AND EMERGENCY FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE TO HIV IMPACTED US FAMILIES.
