Support women and children in crisis on a first step to stability by providing quality clothing at no cost, assisted by a caring and committed community.
In 2019, Women Giving Back (WGB) provided quality clothing, shoes, accessories, and toiletries to over 11,000 women and children living at or below the poverty line and/or homeless in the Greater Washington, DC metro area who are referred by their case manager or social worker. Donations are collected at WGB's facility in Sterling, VA and through donation drives from engaged businesses, volunteers, and partners on WGB's behalf. Over 4,000 volunteers of all ages and backgrounds sorted, organized, and stocked the boutique with donations. These volunteers also provided childcare and personal shopping assistance to the women and children served, which accumulated to over 23,000 volunteer service hours in 2019.
