COMMUNITY SERVICES BLOCK GRANT (CSBG); CSBG-TEMPORARY ASSISTANCE FOR NEEDY FAMILIES (TANF) THE STATE DEPARTMENT OF SOCIAL SERVICES, COMMUNITY SERVICES BLOCK GRANT (CSBG) PROVIDES STOP WITH ITS ADMINISTRATIVE CORE FUNDING. THIS GRANT ALSO PROVIDES ONE-TIME CRISIS INTERVENTION FOR INDIVIDUALS AND FAMILIES WHO EXPERIENCED FINANCIAL DIFFICULTY IN MEETING THEIR BASIC NEEDS FOR THE PAYMENT OF RENT/MORTGAGE, EMPLOYMENT AND TRAINING, TRANSPORTATION SERVICES, EMERGENCY HOUSING ASSISTANCE AND UTILITY PAYMENTS, AND CHILD CARE ASSISTANCE.

WEATHERIZATION ASSISTANCE PROGRAM (WAP) THE DEPT. OF ENERGY - WEATHERIZATION ASSISTANCE PROGRAM (WAP)PROVIDES FUNDS TO REDUCE THE HEATING AND COOLING COSTS FOR LOW AND MODERATE INCOME FAMILIES THAT WILL ENSURE THEIR HEALTH AND SAFETY. SERVICES ARE AVAILABLE FOR LOW INCOME AND MODERATE INCOME HOUSEHOLDS, PARTICULARLY FOR THE ELDERLY, INDIVIDUALS WITH DISABILITIES, VETERANS, AND FAMILIES WITH CHILDREN WHO QUALIFY FOR OTHER FEDERAL ASSISTANCE.

LIHEAP WEATHERIZATION ASSISTANCE PROGRAM: STOP INC. RECEIVES FEDERAL FUNDING (PASSED THROUGH THE VA DEPARTMENT OF HOUSING AND COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT) FROM THE DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH AND HUMAN SERVICES TO ADMINISTER AND PROVIDE SERVICES TO QUALIFIED LOW INCOME PERSONS IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF THE GRANT IDENTIFIED AS CFDA93.568. THE PURPOSE OF THE GRANT PROGRAM IS TO ASSIST IN PROVIDING THE NECESSARY IMPROVEMENTS TO DWELLINGS OF LOW INCOME PERSONS TO SECURE ADEQUATE PRECAUTIONS TO PROTECT THE HOUSEHOLD MEMBERS FROM THE ELEMENTS, AND TO REDUCE OVERALL UTILITY COSTS OF THE HOME.
