To preserve, interpret and share the historical significance of West Point and its natural resources to Virginia and the nation.
Hired a contractor Executive Director to continue development, maintenance and outreach of museum,its archives and collections to educate the public about the history, people, accomplishments, culture and military significance of the Town of West Point in the context of the rural Tidewater region of Virginia.This year the focus was on commencing the second floor renovations and elevator construction for access to the second floor by the general public. A total of an additional $19,274 was spent towards the building improvements. That's in addition to the functional program operating expenses shown above. The second floor access and elevator are continuing projects in progress at year end and are estimated to be open in 2020.
