Organizations Filed Purposes: The mission of NeighborWorks of Grays Harbor County is to develop partnerships in the community between business, government and residents to create safe and affordable housing opportunities for all residents of Grays Harbor County.

For housing rehabilitation and homeownership opportunities, NeighborWorks maintains revolving loan funds as well as lending partnerships which, together, makes a flexible Loan Program. Low, moderate and middle income (LMMI) homeowners within Grays Harbor County are able to borrow money through the multiple revolving loan funds in the Loan Program for purchase and/or rehabilitating their homes, while maintaining affordable housing costs and manageable debt ratios. NeighborWorks made and/or facilitated $ 3,315,160 in loans this fiscal year.With our Housing Counseling Program, NeighborWorks is capable of helping clients with difficult credit histories and high debt ratios by using an intensive individualized approach. This year NeighborWorks assisted 251 households with pre-purchase analysis as well as budget-money management, foreclosure prevention and pre-foreclosure sale counseling. NeighborWorks is a member of a collaboration of NeighborWorks organizations known as "HomeSage" which is dedicated to promoting homebuyer education through eHome America. This online education meets National Industry Standards for Homeownership Education and is offered statewide.For safe, sanitary and affordable rental housing opportunities, NeighborWorks owns and manages 42 rental houses and duplexes, of which 16 units are Section 8 project-based subsidized units. Two (2) units are leased to another nonprofit agency who uses it as a shelter for homeless or transitional families with children; 16 units are rented at market rate with Section 8 vouchers accepted. NeighborWorks also acts as Management Agent for a HUD 811 project which provides homes to eight (8) developmentally disabled tenants.
