Food From Farms increases access to food from local farms and farmers markets for kids, seniors, and those in need.
Administering and accounting for Skagit Valley Farmers Market Coalition food-insecurity programs, where vouchers are given to those in need which they can use to purchase fruits and vegetables from farm stands at participating, local farmers markets. In 2018, these programs include matching 100 of all EBT/SNAP dollars at the participating farmers markets, providing vouchers to local food bank customers to be redeemed at Coalition markets, providing children with Medicaid nutrition information and vouchers, and providing voucher to heart patients in need at a local area hospital.
