Pacific Ballroom Dance Builds Character in Youth by Providing a Positive Ballroom Dance Experience.
Pacific Ballroom Dance serves more than 200 students in our Academy and Company programs. We offer excellent dance education to our students that includes technique classes, workshops with top professionals, and dance labs. Students have opportunities to perform at dozens of local venues and our annual holiday and spring concerts. Some of our dancers participate in out-of-state tours. Our teams compete locally and nationally, ranking among the nation's top formation teams. Throughout the experience we instill in our students characteristics consistent with our mission statement, helping the students to become exceptional youth and upstanding community members.
Pacific Ballroom Dance - Dancing Classrooms. This is a social development program for 5th and 8th grade children using ballroom dance as the agent of change. During the 2018-2019 school year we served approximately 1,150 Seattle-area school children. The program is a 10- week, 20 session program. Several research studies indicate that the program does indeed generate a significant change in program participants.
