MEMBERSHIP PROGRAMS:- MBAKS IS THE OLDEST AND LARGEST LOCAL HOME BUILDERS ASSOCIATION IN THE US. WE HAVE SERVED OUR MEMBERS FOR 110 YEARS. IN 2019, WE HAD 2,711 MEMBERS WITH 84.9% RETENTION.- CONTINUED OPERATION OF STATE LABOR AND INDUSTRIES RETROSPECTIVE RATING PROGRAM. SUCCESSFUL PROGRAM MANAGEMENT, WITH OVER $58MM IN PREMIUMS AND $12M REFUNDED TO PARTICIPATING EMPLOYERS.- OVER 30 YEARS OF SPONSORSHIP OF MBAKS HEALTH INSURANCE TRUST, WHICH PROVIDES FULLY INSURED, AFFORDABLE HEALTH CARE COVERAGE TO OVER 35,000 PARTICIPANTS IN KING AND SNOHOMISH COUNTIESBUILT GREEN PROGRAM-CERTIFIED OVER 800 PROJECTS AND OVER 1,500 TOTAL UNITS AS BUILT GREEN
ADVOCACY:- OVER 110 INDIVIDUAL ADVOCACY WINS IN SUPPORT OF HOMEBUILDERS IN KING AND SNOHOMISH COUNTIES- HOUSE ADVOCACY MEETINGS HOSTED BY MBAKS GATHER OVER 2,100 ATTENDEES THROUGH THE YEAR, 15% INCREASE OVER PRIOR YEAR- MBKAS TEAM MET TO DISCUSS ISSUES WITH 300 INDIVIDUAL ELECTED OFFICIALS AND INTERVIEWED 75 INDIVIDUAL CANDIDATES - HELD THE EVERGREEN CAMPAIGN INSTITUTE (ECI) IN COORDINATION WITH OTHER PARTNER ORGANIZATIONS TO HELP EDUCATE INDIVIDUALS ON CANDIDACY AND CAMPAIGN MANAGEMENT- INCREASED COMMUNICATION AND AWARENESS FOR HOUSING ADVOCACY THROUGH SOCIAL MEDIA OUTREACH PROGRAM
COMMUNITY STEWARDSHIP:- PARTNERED WITH MULTIPLE HOUSING RELATED NON-PROFITS IN SPONSORSHIP AND VOLUNTEER CAPACITIES IN SUPPORT OF HOUSING RELATED CAUSES. OVER 200 STAFF VOLUNTEER HOURS AND $70,000 CONTRIBUTED - MOBILIZED OVER 800 VOLUNTEERS AND OVER 7,500 VOLUNTEER HOURS, ACROSS MULTIPLE COMMUNITY STEWARDSHIP EVENTS IN KING AND SNOHOMISH COUNTIES- ORGANIZED AND PARTNERED WITH MEMBERSHIP AND VENDORS TO CONSTRUCT 45 WHEELCHAIR RAMPS FOR DISABLED COMMUNITY MEMBERS THROUGH THE ANNUAL RAMPATHON PROGRAM- PROVIDED SCHOLARSHIPS TOTALING OVER 20,000 TO INDIVIDUALS IN CONSTRUCTION RELATED PROGRAMS
