Assist and serve youth and children with disabilities in China.
SPECIAL PROJECT - Training conference for special education teachers: January 2019, we sponsored 4 teachers from Changchun Autism Center to attend a 7-days conference in Sichuan. The focus of the continued education programs was to equip the teachers to develop the social skills for children with autism spectrum disorders so that the children will be able to communicate and interact with people around them. We cover the training fees, room and board, and traveling expenses for the four teachers who attended the conference.
SERVICE TRIPS - To use our talents and/or professional skills to provide service/training/counseling to disabled children, their families, and youth in China. We sent two service teams with the total of 11 members to China. They provided support to the field. The locations included Chongqing, Changchun, Chongzou, and Yantai in China. The team provided training, seminars, workshops, and counseling to the parents of Autistic children and visually impaired college students in Changchun. There were one field workers serving long term in China. Two staff from U.S. went to China to lead the service teams and provide consultation to partner organizations.
Education sponsorship The organization sponsors poor disabled students in China to attend or board at schools in China for further education and/or receive therapeutic service. In 2019, the organization sponsored 20 students who are visually impaired student and 17 children with Cerebral Palsy, Down Syndrome, or Autism.
