School Year Programs Children and teens are empowered to manage their time in a way that aligns with their individual passions and talents. Our highly trained, caring staff engage youth by gathering input to incorporate into Camp Fire activities. Classic Club Program- Members create friendships, find their spark, and develop confidence through educational activities, projects, experiences, and events. In fact, activities are limited only by the members imaginations! Youth ages 3 through 18 meet weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly throughout the year in indoor and outdoor classrooms. Served 114. Enrichment Classes- Youth engage in hands-on activities with theme-based curriculum through After School and Community Classes throughout Whatcom and Skagit County. Nurturing, constructive, and inspiring environments allow youth to discover their spark. Each course is six to eight weeks long for youth in K through 8th grade. Served 507. Day Away- Youth learn valuable skills and participate in new adventures, while spending time with their peers in a safe and energizing environment. Classes and activities are in Whatcom and Skagit Counties on out-of-school days. Served 49. Home School Programs- Youth experience hands-on activities, leadership opportunities, learning through communication, and group problem-solving through programs that are created specifically for Home School Families. Youth have the opportunity to choose from science, Spanish, and art in our Bellingham, WoHeLo Room. Served 26.

Camps & Outdoor Education Campers learn how to interact and become part of a community by planning their own program at their developmental level. They build self-esteem and confidence with challenge activities, archery, climbing wall, canoes, and outdoorliving. Youth make new friends and have the time of their lives! Resident/Overnight Camp- Campers entering 1st through 12th grade attend half and one week themed overnight camp programs. They take part in activities that are designed to build self-worth, confidence, and individual growth while incorporating Camp Kirby's extraordinary natural surroundings. Served 649. Day Camp- Youth enjoy the unique features of Camp Kirby and engage in activities such as archery, crafts, swimming, outdoor cooking, and one optional overnight. Imaginations are ignited through this five day themed adventure offered to ages K through 10th grade. Served 132. Outdoor Education- Youth thrive in exciting learning experiences through hands-on projects and activities that increase environmental awareness and appreciation for the world around them. The power of nature awakens a childs senses, curiosity, and desire to learn. This collaborative program shared with teachers, parents, and school administrators influences students lives and makes a positive impact on the environment. Served 246.

Teen Service & Leadership Teens are empowered to become leaders in their community and prepared for wherever their future will take them. Teen programs offer advanced leadership and skill-building, and are great for individuals, clubs, or groups. Counselor-in-Training (CIT)- Teens entering 11th and 12th grade can apply for positions in our learning-intensive leadership program at Camp Kirbys overnight camp. They participate in a six-week program spread over two summers geared toward preparing them for future positions on Camp Kirby's staff through mentoring, skill-building, and experiential learning. Served 25 in 2018. Teens in Action- Teens develop project planning and leadership skills through service. They are empowered to identify community needs needs and take action to make an impact in their community. This youth-led and and youth-driven program is guided by trained adults who act as mentors. Served 12 in 2018. Counselor-Assistant-Training (CAT)- Teens entering 9th and 10th grade learn valuable leadership skills, assist with different activity valuable leadership skills, assist with different activity areas, and support camper groups while practicing their new fundamental skills at Day Camp. Served 6.
