TRANSPORTATION: 184 CLIENTS RECEIVED 1,087 SERVICES TO AND FROM MEDICAL APPOINTMENTS.EMERGENCY FOOD: 118 CLIENTS RECEIVED 408 SERVICES TO ASSIST THEM WITH NUTRITIONAL HEALTH AND FOOD SECURITY.HOUSING: 46 CLIENTS RECEIVED 205 SERVICES TO HELP RETAIN STABLE HOUSING.
OUTREACH SERVICES LINK HIV-POSITIVE PEOPLE WITH POTENTIALLY LIFE-SAVING CARE WHO OTHERWISE MAY NOT HAVE BEEN AWARE OF OR ABLE TO OBTAIN THAT CARE. PREVENTION REFERS TO THE PRACTICE OF PREVENTING THE SPREAD OF HIV IN THE COMMUNITY. EWA'S PREVENTION STAFF DISTRIBUTED 975 ORAQUICK IN-HOME TEST KITS (HTK) TO GAY AND BISEXUAL MEN ACROSS THE PUGET SOUND REGION AS A SUPPLEMENT TO TRADITIONAL SIGHT-BASED/CLINIC TESTING OPTIONS. THE PREVENTION STAFF FURTHER CONDUCTED 488 POINT OF CARE HIV TESTS IN NON-TRADITIONAL SETTINGS AND VENUES. OF THESE 423 WERE HIGHLY TARGETED TO AT-RISK POPULATIONS. THERE WERE 8 CASE FINDINGS AND 8 OF THESE WERE NEW DIAGNOSES. THESE ACTIVITIES WERE FUNDED BY WASHINGTON STATE DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH. STAFF WORKED CLOSELY WITH MEDICAL CASE MANAGEMENT AGENCIES, STATE HEALTH DEPARTMENTS, AND LOCAL COMMUNITY HEALTH CLINICS TO IDENTIFY, ENGAGE AND LINK HIV-POSITIVE PEOPLE TO CARE AND SUPPORT SERVICES.
