Organizations Filed Purposes:
At all times, we will strive to provide an authentic, supportive, and safe learning environment that fosters an appreciation and base of knowledge from which students can make an educated decision about entering a life of public service.
First-In Training and Education utilizes firefighting and emergency medicine as a vehicle to mentor high school students and encourage them to serve others in their comunity.
FITE contracts with 4 skill centers in Western Washington in 2020. Due to the restraints of COVID 19, FITE has had to move all instruction online. We use various platfomrs and have been able to deliver our academic courses in new ways. We are hopeful to go back into in-person instruction before the end of the scxhool year. We saw growth in our WANIC Skill Center program and have been able to expand to 3 sections. All instructors in the FITE program are full-time firefighters or professionals in the fire service.
In 2020, FITE hosted 2 summer school sessions. We currently serve over 160 students in Whatcom, Skagit, King, Snohomish,Thurston, Mason, and Lewis Counties.
