Organizations Filed Purposes:
TO BE A PROPHETIC VOICE AND TEACHING MINSTRY TO ENCOURAGE CHURCHES THROUGHOUT THE WORLD TO THE GLORY OF GOD.
In 2019 Heartcry for Change continued to resource and serve churches, leaders networks, internships and prayer networks in six states and multiple cities in the USA. As a non-profit, the ministry also served 15 other nations around the world including Canada, UK, Europe, SE Asia and Australia. All of these opportunities involved speaking at training events, retreats and conferences, leading leadership seminars and hosting smaller informal leadership mentoring gatherings. Although the public platform ministry of speaking at conferences has continued to grow, the opportunities for mentoring leaders and their teams has increased substantially and much time is spent in between formal conference sessions with leaders around meals and board room tables to help develop strategy. Heartcry continues to supply teaching resources such as books at conferences and audio recordings of teaching and devotional material are available to download from the ministrys website. In October 2019, Heartcry for Change had the privilege of being invited to open the second refuge home and Girls Academy in Riscani, Moldova. Heartcrys President, Rachel Hickson, led a team which visited the project in Moldova and formally opened the new Academy with its mission to mentor and train vulnerable young girls from the villages in Moldova, supporting their education and enabling them to learn a trade. These girls come from the poorest nation of Europe and have often endured various forms of abuse and neglect and have no prospects for recovery unless they can find shelter, a refuge and someone to assist them in re-building their lives practically. Heartcry for Change has been proud to support projects in Moldova financially and through the provision of pastoral care and leadership training to those running the projects on the ground. There is a particular growth in demand for mentoring from younger leaders who are looking for ministry role models. Heartcry for Change has a strong emphasis on training the next generation of leaders and passing on batons of legacy. To that end, Heartcry USA has developed a partnership with the UK base to provide Legacy Days, an opportunity to gather leaders and meet twice per year in Oxford, UK, to invest in a new generation of reformers who seek to demonstrate their Christian faith in practical ways for the benefit of their communities and nations common good. In June 2019 the Legacy Days gathering in Oxford, UK, was attended by Heartcry USA Board members who contributed to the training sessions. In 2019-Donors and supporters had the opportunity to meet and connect with members of the Organization in informal regional gatherings to receive updates on the ministrys projects.Prayer information and ministry reports were supplied regularly throughout the year by email newsletter and online via the ministrys website and there has also been a dedicated project page with updates on the social projects such as the work in Moldova.
