Organizations Filed Purposes:
Transitional housing and lifestyle training for women and women with children suffering from drug or alcohol addiction and/or domestic violence.
During 2016, thirty-six (36) women and thirteen (13) children received services. These services include physical, mental, emotional, spiritual and financial counseling. In addition, the program requires that all outstanding legal issues be addressed including those related to family court, warrents, fines, jail time, electronic monitoring and other court ordered sanctions. Many of our residents have regained custody of their children, satisfied all of their legal requirements with criminal and family court and are currently employed. Three residents who completed the program in 2016 are currently taking college courses, and four have committed to volunteer service with Safe Family Ministries since completing the program. Also in 2016, Safe Family Ministries gained a volunteer Program Director.In 2017, we have welcomed a new staff member who will help with community outreach and volunteer coordination.
