Organizations Filed Purposes:
The Touchet Valley Arts Council promotes fine arts in the Touchet Valley and surrounding area including, but not limited to, music, art motion pictures, oral interpretation, and live theater. The organization presents current and classic movies, live community dramatic and musical theater, youth theater, and civic events.
Film/Cinema Presentations: The organization presents movie/cinema events at reasonable and reduce admission prices to make it affordable for many residents in the Touchet Valley and surrounding area that otherwise might not be able to enjoy this kind of recreational activity. The films are intended mainly for general family viewing with popular matinee showings while special film showings accompany seasonal fund-raising events for holidays and other seasonal activities.
Live Theater Productions: The organization presents and produces live theater productions in the Touchet Valley and surrounding area for recreational entertainment for members and guests that might not be otherwise able to attend such events in the local community. The organization also hosts a week long youth theater workshop and performances by the Missoula Children's Theater that involves multiple children from ages 6 to 18.
Educational and Community Forum: The organization also allows use of the theater for community forums and education events through out the year at a reduce nominal usage fee or sometimes waive the usage fee to help defray costs for other community organizations. The organization also allows local artist to display their paintings and sculptures in the theater lobby on a continuing rotation for the community.
