Our mission is to provide recreational, social, and educational activities for adults with special needs and to help them develop an active, positive, and inclusive lifestyle.
Daily programs can change monthly and are designed to teach participants art, interpersonal skills, personal hygiene, healthy eating, exercise, reading, science, singing, and a variety of art classes that are themed around the season. We average 30-40 participants daily. Programs are held daily Monday thru Friday with the exception of Tuesday mornings when bowling is held. Bowling is a weekly private event on Tuesday mornings at a local bowling alley that averages 120-140 participants. Pizza is provided monthly, drinks are provided weekly, and birthday celebrations with cake are provided once a month. This weekly event includes two games, shoe rental, and used of the alley's bowling balls.

Special Events include the Evergreen Fair art exhibit, the Schack Art Center art exhibit, S.P.I.N. (Special People in Need) Dance once a month attended by 75 to 100 people, the Annual Picnic, 4th of July Parade, the Friendship Adventure partnership to go to outings outside of the center (Aquarium, Aqua Sox baseball game, Hoe Down), and the Halloween Skating Party.
