Organizations Filed Purposes:
FOSTERING INDIVIDUAL AND COMMUNAL WELL-BEING THROUGH ANTI-OPPRESSIVE AND TRAUMA-INFORMED MUSIC THERAPY.
WITH A FOCUS ON SOCIAL JUSTICE AND TRAUMA-INFORMED CARE, THE MUSIC PROJECT OFFERS OVER THIRTY (30) MUSIC THERAPY PROGRAMS IN SIX (6) CATEGORIES TO 4,000 PEOPLE OF ALL AGES, ABILITIES, AND CIRCUMSTANCES. MOST OF OUR PROGRAMS USE A COMMUNITY MUSIC THERAPY MODEL WHICH MEANS THAT REGARDLESS OF WHETHER WE'RE WORKING WITH INDIVIDUALS OR GROUPS, REGARDLESS OF WHETHER WE'RE IN INSTITUTIONS OR OUT IN THE COMMUNITY, WE RECOGNIZE THAT INDIVIDUAL HEALTH IS TIED TO COMMUNAL HEALTH. SO, IF WE WANT INDIVIDUALS TO HAVE THE BEST POSSIBLE HEALTH AND WELL-BEING THEY CAN, WE NEED HEALTHY FAMILIES, HEALTHY NEIGHBORHOODS, AND HEALTHY LARGER COMMUNITIES.
