FOREST AND AQUATIC ECOSYSTEMS: WORKED WITH THE NON-PROFIT OLYMPIC FOREST COALITION, OLYMPIC NATIONAL FOREST, AND THE TIMBER INDUSTRY IN A COLLABORATIVE TO IMPROVE ECOLOGICAL OUTCOMES DURING THINNING FEDERAL FORESTS, AND WITH OTHER NON-PROFIT AND ECOLOGICAL CONSULTING FIRMS TO CRAFT PROPOSALS FOR ECOSYSTEM SERVICES VALUATION STUDIES. PARTICIPATED IN SCIENTIFIC ADVISORY GROUPS TO ADDRESS MULTIPLE RESEARCH NEEDS FOR AQUATIC HABITATS AND FOREST HEALTH ON FORESTLANDS AND IN RURAL RESIDENTIAL DEVELOPMENT IN ORDER TO BETTER PROTECT AND ENHANCE FOREST AND AQUATIC HABITATS AND WATER QUALITY AND QUANTITY. SUPPORTED DEVELOPMENT OF RESEARCH USING ENVIRONMENTAL DNA, DEVELOPED A REGIONALLY-FOCUSED WORKING GROUP INCLUDING TRIBAL, STATE, FEDERAL AND NON-PROFIT PARTICIPANTS. BENEFITTED CITIZENS OF THE REGION THROUGH ADVOCACY AND IMPROVEMENTS TO ENVIRONMENTAL REGULATION, RESOURCE MANAGEMENT, AND LAND USE PRACTICES.

WATERSHED ECOLOGICAL SERVICES: PARTICIPATED AND CONTRIBUTED TO REGIONAL PRIORITIZATION OF RESTORATION PROJECTS ON OLYMPIC NATIONAL FOREST. WORKED WITH WASHINGTON STATE UNIVERSITY, COUNTY CONSERVATION DISTRICTS, COUNTY COOPERATIVE EXTENSIONS, AND NOXIOUS WEED BOARDS TO DEVELOP AND DISSEMINATE REGIONALLY-RELEVANT NATIVE, FOREST, AND INVASIVE PLANT ADAPTIVE MANAGEMENT THROUGH FIELD TRIPS, WORKSHOPS AND DEVELOPMENT OF BEST MANAGEMENT PRACTICES.
