Organizations Filed Purposes:
To improve the quality of life in communities throughout Grays Harbor County. We accomplish this by: 1. Promoting philanthropy at all levels of giving. 2. Seeking permanent endowment funds and other contributions from a diverse and ever-widening group of donors. 3. Helping donors achieve their chartable and financial goals by offering services that make charitable giving easy, effective and satisfying. 4. Providing responsible and effective financial management. 5. Distributing earnings from investments according to community needs and donor intent. 6. Championing good works in every community we serve.
To improve the quality of life in communities throughout Grays Harbor County.
Through our Community Grants Program last year, we awarded 197 grants to 105 local nonprofit organizations and school districts in 2019. We were able to leverage donor advised and donor designated funds to award grant requests that ranged between $1,000 - $30,000. We supported organizations in 12 out of the 13 communities in Grays Harbor to better achieve their mission(s). We also awarded 365 scholarships to students who reside in Grays Harbor County or graduated from a Grays Harbor County high school through our Scholarship Program. Our scholarships are renewable at variable amounts for an additional 3 years to support undergraduate and vocational studies. Through designated funds and our Community Grants program, in 2019 we sent over 4,000 elementary school students on educational and cultural field trips both in and outside of Grays Harbor County.
