For the year 2020 to date, NWFCA has assisted in the recovery of $667.54 in back wages owed from one contractor in violation of RCW 39.12. Ten new formal L & I complaints were filed with the Department in 2020 (Covid-19 has slowed results). Since mid 1997 to date, this office of NWFCA in Kennewick, WA has recovered and assisted in the recovery of $2,482,079.05 from 218 contractors. These recovery amounts do not represent any of the legal fees that were incurred by contractors in most of these cases. The dollar figures represent wage amounts that were paid back to past and present employees of these contractors.
