Organizations Filed Purposes: PNACAC is a regional affiliate of the National Association for College Admission Counseling, an education association of secondary school counselors, college and university admission officers and counselors and related individuals who work with students as they make the transition from high school to postsecondary education. PNACAC serves the states of Alaska, Idaho, Montana, Oregon and Washington.The purpose for which this corporation is organized is exclusively educational and charitable and no other. In furtherance thereof, its mission is: a. To develop and maintain high standards which foster ethical and social responsibility among those involved in the process of planning for post secondary education. b. To develop and to promote the Statement of Principles of Good Practice and to monitor adherence thereto. c. Exempt Purpose Accomplishments:The development and maintenance of high standards which fostered ethical and social responsibility among college admission counselors and those involved in the planning for post secondary education in the states of Alaska, Idaho, Montana, Oregon, and Washington.The promotion of NACAC's (our parent organization) Statement of Principles of Good Practice in addition to monitoring our member's adherence thereto.The promotion and protection of the interest of students involved in the post secondary education planning process.The development of professional competence of individuals involved in the admissions process.Met the professional needs of individuals involved in the admissions process.Furthered the education of those involved in the process of planning for post secondary education.Developed and engaged in services related to the process of planning for post secondary education and admission.Communicated information to members and other appropriate parties through conferences, meetings, fairs, tours, publications, and our web site.Provided opportunities for interaction between and among our membership, various segments of our corporation, other parts of the educational community, and appropriate organizations and agencies.Interpreted to various interested third parties and members information, data, and opportunities relevant for student's post secondary education planning.Strived for the inclusion of PNACAC members and various segments of our corporation to be heard by or participate in leadership roles within our parent organization, NACAC.
