Organizations Filed Purposes: Skagit Land Trust conserves wildlife habitat, agricultural and forest lands, scenic open spaces and shorelines for the benefit of our community, and as a legacy for future generations of people and wildlife.

Skagit Land Trust protects land to pass on healthy ecosystems. We also protect places that enhance all people's quality of life. We work with community members to steward protected lands. Conservation and stewardship of land are foundational programs. Other areas of focus include: Education and Outreach including a Youth Program and a Citizen Science Program; Public Policy; and; Justice, Equity, Diversity and Inclusion in conservation. Partnership is a key value in all we do.

Stewardship: 725 stewardship volunteers gave 2378 hours to care for and monitor 89 properties or conservation easements. SLT restored wildlife habitat on fifteen properties. Trail, wildlife viewing and public access were enhanced on six properties. SLT hosted five interns from Skagit Valley College and Western Washington University.

Land Conservation: Nine projects were completed including conservation easements, land purchases and donations. A mile of fish and wildlife habitat in the Skagit Watershed was protected. SLT began work on 15 other projects including assisting partners such as Skagit County and State Parks with land acquisition for parks and trails.

Outreach and Communication: SLT lands had over 28,500 visits. Public conservation easements SLT conserves had over 143,000 visits. 725 students from local schools visited a SLT property to learn about nature and stewardship. SLT's 40 Citizen Scientists contributed to research on herons and amphibians. SLT held 14 community and member events.
