Organizations Filed Purposes: Bikes are provided to children in poor communities adjacent to conservation areas in which ERP is involved. These children struggle to regularly attend school, because of the difficulties they have in physically getting there, often having to walk miles in both directions. ERP provides the bicycles together with a monitored attendance program, both to ensure that the bikes are used for the intended purpose by the beneficiaries, and to track their performance at school. The bicycles are also used to create awareness about the need for conservation. These images and the videos on the following 2 pages collectively showcase our most recent ERP bike deliveries, in October and November 2019. Cost $14 000 Number of bikes donated 52 bikes

In May 2019, ERP translocated 16 elephants to two reserves in the Eastern Cape as part of ERPs The Great Karoo Elephant Migration, saving at-risk elephants by reintroducing them to areas in which they once roamed in great numbers but were until recently extinct, having been wiped out by hunters during the past century. The elephants were relocated from a reserve with an overpopulation of elephants, where they were at risk of being culled. After a 23-hour drive, the elephants arrived at Mount Camdeboo Private Game Reserve. Estimated cost $50 323.00 Number of volunteers that helps: 6 ERP team members, 1 video Grapher, 3 guests/ volunteers, 2 Mount Camdeboo owners,1 Journalist, 1 member from Buffalokloof, 2 camp masters for setting up and cooking,

ERP took over responsibility for the security and well-being of the threatened rhino population in the 4,000-hectare Rietvlei Nature Reserve, the rhinos were suffering sporadic attacks and were at risk of annihilation. With drone-based surveillance, the ERP Ranger program and a security regimen, the reserve has suffered no rhino losses since ERPs intervention, with several births during the past year resulting in what is today a lamentably rare phenomenon, viz. the increase in a localized rhino population. Rhino protection and welfare At Rietvlei Nature Reserve. In addition to looking out for the rhinos security, during the dry months ERP supplements their feed. ERP uses feeding cubes specially developed to satisfy the nutritional needs of rhinos during dry winter months and longer drought periods, such as currently being experienced in the region.
