WE ARE DEDICATED TO BUILDING AN OUTSTANDING FUTURE FOR THE EVERGREEN STATE COLLEGE BY RAISING PRIVATE GIFTS FROM OUR REMARKABLE DONORS. PRIVATE GIFTS FUND STUDENT AID, PROGRAMS, AND CRITICAL NEEDS THROUGHOUT THE COLLEGE.

STUDENT AID. EVERGREEN HAS A LONG TRADITION OF SERVING A DIVERSE POPULATION OF STUDENTS. ALMOST ONE THIRD OF THE COLLEGE'S STUDENTS ARE FIRST IN THEIR FAMILY TO GO TO COLLEGE. ROUGHLY THREE QUARTERS OF EVERGREEN'S STUDENTS RECEIVE FINANCIAL AID AND 35% HAVE INCOMES BELOW THE FEDERAL POVERTY LEVEL. SCHOLARSHIPS AND FELLOWSHIPS HELP EVERGREEN STUDENTS STAY IN SCHOOL, EARN THEIR DEGREES, AND MAKE A POSITIVE IMPACT IN THEIR COMMUNITIES. IN THE 2019-20 ACADEMIC YEAR, 301 STUDENTS RECEIVED DONOR-FUNDED SCHOLARSHIPS AND 348 STUDENTS RECEIVED EMERGENCY AID TO ASSIST WITH EXPENSES FROM UNEXPECTED EMERGENCIES.

ACADEMIC SUPPORT, RESEARCH, AND OTHER COLLEGE SUPPORT. THE FOUNDATION PROVIDES SUPPORT TO THE COLLEGE THAT ADDS EXCELLENCE TO THE EVERGREEN EDUCATIONAL EXPERIENCE. FOUNDATION SUPPORT FOR THE COLLEGE BOLSTERS A VARIETY OF PROGRAMS, INCLUDING FACULTY PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT AND RESEARCH, THE KAOS RADIO STATION, SUMMER UNDERGRADUATE RESEARCH FELLOWSHIPS, MICROBIOLOGY RESEARCH, THE LIBRARY, THE EVERGREEN STUDENT CIVIC ENGAGEMENT INSTITUTE, ENTREPRENEURSHIP, VARIOUS LECTURE SERIES, AND THE CENTER FOR CREATIVE AND APPLIED MEDIA.

PUBLIC SERVICE CENTERS. IN DEMONSTRATION OF EVERGREEN'S STRONG COMMITMENT TO GIVE BACK TO THE COMMUNITIES IT SERVES, THE COLLEGE CURRENTLY OPERATES PUBLIC SERVICE CENTERS INCLUDING THE LONGHOUSE EDUCATION AND CULTURAL CENTER, THE CENTER FOR COMMUNITY-BASED LEARNING AND ACTION, THE WASHINGTON CENTER FOR IMPROVING UNDERGRADUATE EDUCATION, AND THE SUSTAINABILITY IN PRISONS PROJECT. THE FOUNDATION SUPPORTS THESE PUBLIC SERVICE CENTERS BY SECURING AND ADMINISTERING PRIVATE GIFTS INCLUDING GRANTS TO ENHANCE THEIR PROGRAMS.
