Faunalytics mission is to empower animal advocates with access to research, analysis, strategies, and messages that maximize their effectiveness to reduce animal suffering.
Independent Research - Faunalytics completed seven original studies, including 1) The State of Animal Advocacy in the U.S. and Canada, 2) Animal Product Impact Scales, 3) Public Understanding of COVID-19 and Animals, 4) Reduce vs Go Veg Messaging, 5) A Farm Sanctuary Tours Effects on Intentions and Diet Change, 6) Beliefs About Chicken and Fish and Their Relation to Animal Positive Behaviors, and 7) The Rise of Veg, The Fall of Meat. In 2020 our original research studies received over 18,000 pageviews.
Research Library - Faunalytics published 206 new research study summaries and 53 blog posts that synthesized research on important animal-related topics. We send weekly and monthly research alerts to thousands of scholars and animal advocates throughout the year. Approximately 319,000 people visited the Faunalytics website and accessed our library in 2020.
Research Consulting - Faunalytics works with animal protection nonprofits by helping them conduct program evaluations and other research. In 2020 we provided pro-bono support to over five dozen advocates and organizations, offering guidance on research design, strategy, and data-driven advocacy. We also delivered several presentations on effective animal advocacy, and introduced our live Q&A sessions to help advocates apply research and data to their work.
