Organizations Filed Purposes: TO PROVIDE QUALITY BEHAVIORAL HEALTH SERVICES TO PERSONS OF ALL AGES, CULTURAL AND ETHNIC BACKGROUNDS. OBHC PROVIDES SUBSTANCE ABUSE AND VIOLENCE PREVENTION SERVICES TO THE COMMUNITY; AND COUNSELING, CASE MANAGEMENT AND SKILLS TRAINING TO PERSONS WITH DEVELOPMENTAL, CHEMICAL DEPENDENCY, AND MENTAL HEALTH ISSUES AND CONCERNS. OBHC'S PRIMARY CHALLENGE IS TO ENSURE THAT THESE INDIVIDUALS ARE BETTER ABLE TO MANAGE THEIR LIVES, WORK AND PARTICIPATE IN THEIR COMMUNITIES AS THE RESULT OF OBHC'S INVOLVEMENT IN THEIR LIVES.

TO PROVIDE QUALITY BEHAVIORAL HEALTH SERVICES TO PERSONS OF ALL AGES.

THE MENTAL HEALTH PROGRAM PROVIDES EMERGENCY CRISIS SERVICES, CONSULTATION, PREVENTION/EDUCATION, SCREENING/ASSESSMENT SERVICES, OUTPATIENT SERVICES THAT INCLUDE: INDIVIDUAL, FAMILY AND GROUP THERAPY, COMMUNITY STABILIZATION SERVICES AND SPECIAL PROGRAMS TO MEET THE NEEDS OF SPECIAL POPULATIONS SUCH AS CHILDREN, ELDERLY AND MINORITIES. OBHC PROVIDED 14,636 MENTAL HEALTH OUTPATIENT SERVICES HOURS, AND 1,607 MENTAL HEALTH CRISIS HOURS.

THE DEVELOPMENTAL DISABILITIES PROGRAM PROVIDES COMMUNITY INFORMATION SERVICES WHICH EDUCATE PEOPLE IN THE COMMUNITY ABOUT DEVELOPMENTAL DISABILITIES AND RELATED SERVICES; INFANT TODDLER NETWORK SERVICES FOCUS ON EARLY INTERVENTION FOR CHILDREN FROM BIRTH THROUGH AGE THREE AND INCLUDE SERVICES SUCH AS: FAMILY RESOURCE COORDINATION, EARLY IDENTIFICATION SCREENING, EVALUATION AND ASSESSMENT, ELIGIBILITY AND INDIVIDUALIZED FAMILY SERVICE PLANS. DEVELOPMENTAL DISABILITIES PROVIDED 3,663 SUBCONTRACTED SERVICE HOURS TO ADULTS. THIS PROGRAM SUBCONTRACTS WITH NORTHWEST CENTER AND AMBITIONS SERVICES TO PROVIDE INDIVIDUAL SUPPORTED EMPLOYMENT SERVICES AND COMMUNITY ACCESS SERVICES TO ADULTS.

THE SHOVE HOUSE HAS TEN SHELTER DORM AND NINE PERMANENT SUPPORTIVE HOUSING UNITS FOR PERSONS WITH MENTAL ILLNESS AND/OR SUBSTANCE ABUSE PROBLEMS IN OKANOGAN COUNTY. THE FACILITY PROVIDES THE ONLY EMERGENCY SHELTER BEDS AND PERMANENT SUPPORTIVE UNITS FOR INDIVIDUALS DISABLED BY MENTAL ILLNESS OR CHEMICAL DEPENDENCY IN OKANOGAN COUNTY. THE SHOVE HOUSE PROVIDED 752 SERVICE HOURS, 4,850 DORMITORY BED NIGHTS, AND 3,223 APARTMENT BED NIGHTS.
