THE MISSION OF THE ORGANIZATION IS TO ENRICH, ENCOURAGE, AND EMPOWER PEOPLE WITH DEVELOPMENTAL DISABILITIES.

COACHED TO BECOME ACTIVE MEMBERS OF THE LARGER COMMUNITY AND TO BUILD RELATIONSHIPS WITHIN THE COMMUNITY BASED ON INDIVIDUAL INTERESTS AND GOALS.
CALLAM MOSAIC serves individuals with Developmental Disabilites and provide resources to family members/caregivers within the community. The services provided included:1.Programs which Foster independence and personal choiceEngage individuals in meaningful activities to improve self-esteem, self- determination, self-confidence and overall quality of lifeHelp individuals to overcome stigmas and live as normal a life as possible in the least restrictive environmentsImprove cognitive ability, which in turn decreases potential for early onset of dementia and other age-related conditions Promote healthy life choices.2.Parent/Caregiver support groups whichProvide information and resources needed to support individuals with DD and those who support themCreate a forum for discussion and sharing of experiencesEmpower the community to work as a unified voice in advocacy efforts.Alternative options for these services are few or nonexistent in Clallam County. Thus, continued investment in CM is critical to decreasing marginalization and empowering both individuals with DD and their families/caregivers.
