MARTHA & MARY HEALTH SERVICES (MMHS) AND ITS AFFILIATED ORGANIZATIONS HAVE SERVED SENIORS AND OTHERS IN NEED IN THE WEST SOUND REGION SINCE 1954. MMHS IS NOT ONLY ONE OF THE LARGEST SKILLED NURSING PROVIDERS IN WASHINGTON, WE CONSISTENTLY RANK AMONG THE TOP THREE TO FOUR PROVIDERS WHEN IT COMES TO ACCESS. IN 2019, 476 INDIVIDUALS (307 ADMISSIONS) WERE SERVED, WITH AN AVERAGE AGE OF 82 YEARS. 82% OF THE DAYS OF CARE PROVIDED WERE MEDICAID. MORE THAN $2.2M IN UNDERFUNDED CARE WAS PROVIDED IN 2019.MMHS IS COMPRISED OF THREE RESIDENT CARE AREAS: BAY/COURTYARD, MARINA AND GARDEN. ALTHOUGH PROGRAMMING AND SERVICES OVERLAP IN ALL THREE AREAS, EACH HAS ITS SIGNATURE PROGRAMS SPECIFIC TO THE NEEDS OF RESIDENTS SERVED IN THOSE AREAS. BAY/COURTYARD SERVES INDIVIDUALS WITH BOTH MEMORY AND BEHAVIORAL HEALTH CARE NEEDS.THE MARINA CARE AREA SERVES PRIMARILY LONG TERM CARE RESIDENTS WITH CHRONIC CONDITIONS REQUIRING 24-HOUR CARE AND SUPPORT. FOR MANY OF THESE RESIDENTS, OUR ROBUST QUALITY OF LIFE PROGRAM IS AN IMPORTANT FACTOR TO THEIR OVERALL WELLNESS AND SATISFACTION. PET, MUSIC, HORTICULTURE AND ART THERAPIES ARE AMONG THE ACTIVITIES OFFERED TO THIS RESIDENT GROUP. INTERGENERATIONAL PROGRAMMING IS OFFERED DAILY IN CONJUNCTION WITH OUR CHILDCARE AND EARLY LEARNING PROGRAMS.THE GARDEN CARE AREA SPECIALIZES IN SHORT-STAY REHABILITATION. WE OFFER 24-HOUR RN COVERAGE, 7 DAY-A-WEEK PHYSICAL AND OCCUPATIONAL THERAPIES AND 6 DAY-A-WEEK SPEECH LANGUAGE THERAPY. IN 2019, THE AVERAGE REHABILITATION STAY WAS APPROXIMATELY 12 DAYS. MMHS CONTINUES TO DEMONSTRATE QUALITY OUTCOMES AND HIGH PATIENT/FAMILY SATISFACTION WHILE SERVING A VERY DIVERSE PORTFOLIO OF INDIVIDUALS AND NEEDS.
