Organizations Filed Purposes: FOUNDED IN 2008, THE MISSION OF THE ALL-STAR ORCHESTRA ( THE ORGANIZATION) IS TO MAKE ACCESSIBLE, FOR FREE, THE JOY AND UNDERSTANDING OF CLASSICAL MUSIC TO THE WIDEST POSSIBLE AUDIENCE THROUGH PUBLIC TELEVISION AND THE WORLD'S LARGEST EDUCATIONAL WEBSITE: THE KHAN ACADEMY. TO ACHIEVE THIS THE ORGANIZATION PRODUCES, FILMS, AND RECORDS CLASSICAL AND CONTEMPORARY ORCHESTRAL MASTERPIECES IN A CONCERT HALL, WITH THE RESULTING PROGRAMS TO BE BROADCAST OVER LOCAL, NATIONAL AND INTERACTIVE PUBLIC MEDIA. THE PROGRAMS INCLUDE A STRONG EDUCATIONAL COMPONENT AND ARE INSPIRING NEW DIRECTIONS FOR MUSIC EDUCATION ( 6 MILLION MUSIC STUDENTS REACHED VIA KHAN ACADEMY), ENTERTAINMENT, AND HIGH-LEVEL ARTISTIC EXPOSURE FOR A BROAD AND DIVERSE AUDIENCE. SEASON ONE WAS RECORDED IN 2012, SEASON TWO IN 2014, and SEASON 3 IN 2016, AND SEASON FOUR IN 2018. NATIONAL BROADCASTS AND REBROADCASTS VIA AMERICAN PUBLIC TELEVISION HAVE BEEN CONTINUOUS SINCE SEPTEMBER 2013. TO DATE THE PROGRAMS HAVE WON SEVEN EMMY AWARDS

ASO Public Television Accomplishments National broadcasts of four seasons - nineteen programs-on Public Television since 2013, winning seven Emmy awards and the ASCAP Broadcasting Excellence award. Season Four: "All-Star Band Masterpieces"-recorded in 2017 in partnership with the United States Marine Band-premiered in November, 2018, and is currently in national broadcast rotation. The ASO program "New England Spirit" was nominated for two emmy awards and won the award for "special event" in May, 2019. season 5 was recorded in August, 2019

ASO expenses relate mostly to creating content, a fact more evident in ASO's audited financial statements than in the 990 . For example, the $214,023 "functional expenses" figure (Part IX, line 25) does not fully include ASO's program investments that are partially listed under "intangible assets" (see Part X, line 14). Also, not listed is the contributed value (performers, , venue, audio production, etc) by the gov't funded U.S. Marine Corps band to the three programs produced in 2018 . IF the ASO had to pay for services of similarly qualified top musicians and production specialists the cost are estimated by ASO at $600,000 for three programs

ASO Online Education Accomplishments Created a unique music education website in 2014 in partnership with the Khan Academy that in 2018 is reaching over 6 million students worldwide. Original content produced by ASO includes: Basics of Music, Instruments of the Orchestra, Masterpieces in Performance, Work Analyses, etc. Featured in Musical America as an "Innovator for 2016." Future plans include continual growth of music educational content, with a goal to reach 10 million students in the next year.New content is regularly being added. Lessons are being translated into multiple languages to reach students world-wide
