Organizations Filed Purposes:
Artist Trust is a statewide, nonprofit corporation established in October of 1986 to provide support for Washington State artists in all disciplines.
Support individual artists and enrich community life.
Artist Trust's Artist Support Programs include business practices workshops and webinars, online resources, networking and mentorship events, town halls, an annual artist survey, and other programs that provide career-training and professional development opportunities for artists and help us discover and make visible issues impacting the livelihoods of artists. Over 2,000 artists and community members were served by these programs in 2019.
Fellowships award $10,000 to practicing professional artists of exceptional talent and demonstrated ability. The Fellowship is a merit based, not a project based, award. Recipients are selected through an open, competitive panel process. There were 12 Fellowship recipients and 1 Fellowship for Native Artists recipient in 2019. One recipient received a Bali Purnati Artist Residency in 2019 in addition to their Fellowship award.
Other Programs include the Arts Innovator Award, Twining Humber Lifetime Achievement Award, Support Old Lady Artists (SOLA) Award, Gar LaSalle Storyteller Award, and scholarships to attend the Common Field convening.
