Youth with a healthy, active, lifestyle are more likely to develop socially and emotionally.
Successfully executed year one of Best Starts for kids Trauma Informed Care grant. Served youth at three different school sites (Bailey Gatzert Elementary Shool, IMPACT elementary schools, Rainer Valley Leadership Academy Middle School)and implemented Trauma Informed Care workshops and fitness programming. Continued out of school time fit camps during all week long school breaks. Continued partnerships to bring programs for youth at community sites such as: East African Community Services, Creston Heights as well as after school CLC programs at Washington Middle School and Aki Kurose Middle School. Started regular bootcamps and yoga classes at partner site 9460 Rainier Ave S. Trained 10 teen interns for summer through Seattle Youth Employment Program who worked at 2 summer camps held at elementary school sites in John Muir Elementary and Concord Elementary.
