To provide weekend hunger bags to every Seattle area student in need.
We were able to meet the Covid needs of all the Seattle school districts 40 meal sites by increasing our bag count over double pre Covid. We coordinated for the whole city for the increased needs with 6 other agencies. We procured pallet pricing from Costco and added 2 new distributors saving money on food purchases to the point we were able to add additional items to the bags. Every penny we raised this year went to food purchases, as our overhead administrative costs are covered by our city contract. We increased our volunteer count, added shifts to meet the bag count needs, and continue to support at this level all of 2021.
