Continued statewide education program in bike and pedestrian safety for thousands of middle school students. Created a state grant-funded program for statewide collection of bike and pedestrian data using permanent counters. Worked closely with members of our federal delegation on national safety performance standards for biking and walking. Supported the efforts of local advocacy groups across the state. Supported passage of a major transportation levy in Seattle that included significant funding for biking, walking and transit.
