CareerWork$ Medical prepares adults from low income communities who have a high school diploma or GED for careers in the healthcare industry, including as appointment specialists, billing specialists, family services coordinators, call center healthcare representatives, and program/clinic coordinators. CareerWork$ Medical program participants receive intensive training and ongoing career support to ensure they are better prepared for entry-level positions in the healthcare industry than candidates from the general marketplace.
BankWork$ trains young adults from low income and minority communities for lasting careers in the financial services industry. Students are often those who otherwise would not be considered qualified candidates for these positions. The BankWork$ model is mutually beneficial: the participants receive jobs that pay above a living wage and are new role models for their family members and their community; and the banks fill a real business need, as they find qualified candidates from underserved populations from which they have historically had challenges sourcing.
