Coalition Building - Building power and coalition throughout Washington State to create an educational system that works best for children.
Decolonizing Education Conference - A multi-day gathering to advance the education communitiys understanding of and practices around anti-racism and equity. This conference brings together educators, parents, students, school board members, legislators, education advocates, and community-based organizations to thoroughly examine the intersection of racism in education and intentionally center the voices, experiences, and experitse of people of color.
Other progream include Lunch Learn -A 1.5 hour webinar open to the public and community. Topic issues include defining the Educational Opportunity Gap, Ethnic Studies, Time Immemorial Curriculum, and Meeting the Teacher of the Year. Racial Equity Team - a People of Color led network of community leaders who work to emplower communities of color across WA state by promoting equity of opportunity for all children, families and communities.
