HopeCentral offers pediatric and behavioral health primary care and services for Autism Spectrum Disorder in south Seattle to all families regardless of income. We also provide training, education, and support to community members and health providers in the areas of autism and developmental disability. Our mission is to "Share the love of Jesus through excellent, enhanced primary care for the entire community."
Pediatric Primary Care and Behavioral Health Care HopeCentral continues to provide excellent pediatric primary care services to the whole community characterized by longer appointments, 24/7 physician availability, and integrated behavioral healthcare. In FY19, HopeCentral provided over 2,800 visits for over 1,000 unique patients. As an Autism Center of Excellence, HopeCentral performed over 150 autism evaluations, a significant number of the autism evaluations performed in the Puget Sound area.
Community Health With the support of King County, HopeCentral has been working to establish the Vietnamese Family Autism Advisory Board (VFAAB). HopeCentral developed a parent support and education program focused around a Vietnamese-speaking patient care navigator. We also worked to improve the effectiveness of the Modified Checklist for Autism in Toddlers (MCHAT) screening tool by collecting community feedback and conducting a Continuing Medical Education (CME) course for providers serving the Vietnamese community.
