Organizations Filed Purposes: Our mission is to end homelessness by providing shelter, respite care, work opportunities and other services, so that people have increased opportunities for stabilization, recovery, and permanent housing.

NORTH KING COUNTY WINTER SHELTER. For 2019 winter season (Nov 1 to Mar 31) we provided a winter shelter at 5 hosting congregations, welcoming 30 guests nightly. Trained staff encouraged guests to consider next steps towards housing. Case management, hot meals, public transit, access to God's Li'l Acre day center and referrals to other services were provided, along with companionship and care. Our shelter locations were supported by King County and Cities of Seattle, Shoreline, Bothell, Kenmore, and private donations, 37 local faith communities, service providers, and neighborhood groups, and more than 600 volunteers. Our critical winter shelter provided 4,296 Total Bed Nights at an 95% Bed Utilization Rate. We served 8,592 Meals, and 249 Guests. We helped 124 Guests transition to more permanent housing.

SHORELINE HOUSING OUTREACH. Housing Outreach, funded by King County and the City of Shoreline, provides a specialist to conduct outreach on the streets of Shoreline with the primary purpose of connecting people to housing and essential services via King County's Coordinated Entry and United Way's Streets to Home. The program coordinates with Shoreline police, fire, and parks departments. A Specialist visits city facilities, meal programs, bus stops, and outdoor locations to engage people and build relationships. Contacts were made with 292 unique individuals through street outreach. We helped 70 families exit the streets into transitional and permanent housing. Our outreach specialist, Stanley Machokoto, was honored by the City of Shoreline in the 2019 State of the City address.

GOD'S LITTLE ACRE. The GLA Day Center operates M-F, 9am-4pm, and provides kitchen, shower, and laundry facilities, safe storage, mail, phone and wifi access for people experiencing homelessness. Services include creating a pathway to recovery, housing and work. The GLA program served 533 unique individuals and helped 38 families into more permanent housing.
