Work in the former Soviet Union: In the year from July 1, 2019-June 30, 2020, there was less activity than normal because of the Covid-19 shutdown. There was a gathering of 100 young leaders from Russia, Ukraine, Armenia and Kazakhstan; it was held in Krasnodar, Russia, in October 2019. It lasted four days and consisted of teaching on the principles of Jesus and discussions in small groups.

Prayer Breakfasts: In February 2020, 127 countries participated in this annual gathering, Leadership Development attended with 79 students, young professionals and current leaders representing Washington state. The purpose is to introduce them to a global community of friends who seek to follow the teachings of Jesus, regardless of cultural or religious background. The annual Governor's Prayer Breakfast convenes governmental and community leaders to pray for the state of Washington and its governmental leadership. Around 500 guests on average attend the 75-year-old tradition, which showcases speeches, prayers, and stories from civic leaders and the Governor as the honorary host. The event is paid for by registration fees of the guests, and is thus not held at government expense.

Washington State Leadership: This multi-day event held in conjunction with the annual Governor's Prayer Breakfast. The WSL Gathering augments the Prayer Breakfast by providing extended sessions with special speakers, small group interaction, and a trip to the Capitol to interface with elected officials. This gives guests an opportunity to explore different leadership styles and philosophies, and specifically to examine how the teachings of Jesus can inform the way we lead. The Weekend: Over Labor Day 2019, approximately 350 people participated in a multigenerational, multicultural gathering at Washington Family Ranch in Antelope, Oregon. The purpose is to bring together a broad spectrum of people together to encourage each other in their faith and to consider how to care for their respective communities.
