To provide mentoring and financial support to students of African heritage who pursue careers in professional nursing and to provide services that will contribute to the health of the community,
To provide nursing scholarships.
MMPNO provide scholarships to 11 nursing students in the total amount of $26,500. MMPNO supported tutoring and paid for study tools academic success and NCLEX prep in the amount of $300. MMPNO mentored 38 students. During 2019. We attended the graduations of 4 UW students, 1 Renton College, 7 SU for a total of 3 events with 11 students graduating. In our outreach activities, we attended and participated in 10 community event health fairs, WSNA and Seattle Children=5, Academic Lecturers = 3, Academic Collaborations = 3, Student Training = 2 for a total of 23 outreach events.
