Organizations Filed Purposes: Pacific Northwest Ballet Association's (PNB) mission is to set new standards for artistic excellence, innovation and creativity; attract the most talented dancers, choreographers, musicians, collaborative artists, staff and volunteers; educate and develop dance artists as well as enthusiasts; captivate a devoted, supportive, growing and diverse audience; and strengthen our financial and organizational foundation.

Pacific Northwest Ballet Association works to stimulate, promote and develop interest in dance and related arts in the Pacific Northwest through professional ballet performances, ballet and recreational dance instruction, and community outreach and education.

Pacific Northwest Ballet company (PNB) consists of 47 dancers and a live orchestra and presents about 90+ performances annually including six repertory productions of full-length and mixed repertory ballets, George Balanchine's The Nutcracker(R). During Artistic Director Peter Boal's tenure to date, PNB added more than one hundred ballets, bringing the company's grand total to more than three hundred. PNB hosts more than 250 experiences through performances, lectures, demonstrations, community outreach, and donor cultivation or recognition events at Marion Oliver McCaw Hall. PNB benefits more than 225,000 adults and children throughout the Puget Sound region. Our artistic and educational programming reflects PNB's dedication to making ballet accessible to people of all ages and from all walks of life. We accomplish this by showcasing traditional ballet and innovative contemporary choreography, providing live orchestra music, offering behind-the-scenes experiences, and cultivating new generations of arts participants and enthusiasts through dance education and engagement.

PNB School is regarded as one of the preeminent ballet institutions in the nation, setting the standard for excellence in training. Our Professional Division and Summer Course attract and train talented students from around the United States and the world. The School offers a complete professional curriculum to about 1,265 students annually, and plays an instrumental role in the developing the Company's distinctive style. Students perform in an end of the year performance, and with the company as needed. The School offers recreational dance instruction to an additional 600 individuals. Scholarships totaling around $679,000 are offered to help attract and retain promising young artists. The School has a faculty of 38 instructors and 34 piano accompanists at two locations.
