Organizations Filed Purposes: Path with Art transforms the lives of people recovering from homelessness, addiction, and other trauma by harnessing the power of creative engagement as a bridge to community and a path to stability.

Path with Art provides individuals with life affirming arts instruction, exploration, and accomplishment. We partner with over 40 Social Service partners to bring art to individuals and communities often without access to artistic and creative opportunities. Our Community Connections programs bring people from all backgrounds together though arts experiences to help us connect to our shared humanity, and foster empathy.

Arts Education: Path with Art's year-round arts education and immersion provide hands-on, dynamic, and skill-building arts in a variety of disciplines - from Sumi painting to Shakespeare - by award-winning, professional teaching artists in a safe and caring community environment. Workshops are held at our social service partners' venues, our arts partners' venues, or at Path with Art's gallery. These opportunities take place in a variety of locations including art spaces provided by our over 30 arts and cultural partners or at our social service partners through partner specific workshops.

Community Connections: Expansive art projects between our participants and the broader public bring disparate groups of people together to foster deeper understanding, and see each other through the human lens of art. Examples of this powerful program included a flower arranging workshop at the London Plane in the Pioneer Square neighborhood of Seattle, to Hear & Now, a traveling collaboration led by the kinetic sound sculptor artists and featuring the work of artists with lived experience of homelessness. The project, which aimed to help destigmitize and "unpack" the issues of homelessness, traveled to four different locations beginning at the Seattle Art Museum and ending at the Seattle Symphony. In 2019 we launched our Veterans Cohort, a community connections project, reserved specifically for veterans of the armed forces, through a collaboration with the Seattle Opera.

Exhibits and Showcases: We hold regular public exhibitions, performances, and showcases that celebrate our student artists' artistic achievements. These events are powerful for both our students and the broader community, allowing the public to better understand the population we serve through the human lens of art experience versus statistics.
