The People's Harm Reduction Alliance runs multiple syringe distribution sites located in Washington State: King County, South Everett, Kitsap County and in Portland, Oregon as well. In 2019, we distributed 6,255,990 syringes along with 24,091 safer smoking kits in order to reduce people's risk of transmitting HIV and Hepatitis C. All sites have an opiate overdose prevention component by providing Narcan, a life-saving medicine that reduces opiate overdoses. In 2019, 4,835 Narcan kits were provided with 3,938 confirmed reversals.
POD:Workforce opportunity project focusing on developing employment access and system re-engagement for at-risk populations, inclusive of individual who are unstably housed a PHRA engages with individuals who are unstably housed or homeless. The POD project provides low barrier workforce positions, job skills/trainings, and reintegration services.
