FAMILY EMPOWERMENT PROGRAM ASSISTS FAMILIES IN MAKING SUCCESSFUL TRANSITIONS TO LIFE IN THE U.S. AND INTEGRATING INTO AMERICAN SOCIETY. REWA'S BILINGUAL CASE MANAGERS WORK ONE-ON-ONE WITH CLIENTS TO BREAK DOWN BARRIERS, RESTORE HOPE, AND HELP THEM THRIVE BY PROVIDING INFORMATION AND REFERRALS FOR RESOURCES SUCH AS JOB SKILLS TRAINING, JOB SEARCH, NUTRITION, HEALTHCARE, GOVERNMENT BENEFITS, AND CHILDCARE. WE ASSIST WITH NAVIGATING SCHOOL ENROLLMENT AND APPLYING FOR A DRIVER'S LICENSE. 812 CLIENTS ATTENDED JOB READINESS TRAINING AND ASSISTANCE WITH JOB SEARCH WITH 457 INDIVIDUALS FINDING JOBS. SUBMITTED 193 CITIZENSHIP AND GREEN CARD APPLICATIONS WITH 90% APPROVAL RATE AND 63 INDIVIDUALS ATTENDED 1,100 INSTRUCTIONAL HOURS IN CIVIC EDUCATION IN PREPARATION FOR CITIZENSHIP EXAMS.
EARLY LEARNING CENTERS IN BEACON HILL, RAINIER VALLEY, AND LAKE CITY SERVED 225 MULITCULTURAL FAMILIES WITH YEAR-ROUND EARLY CHILDHOOD CARE SERVICES USING A BILINGUAL AND BICULTURAL CURRICULUM. WE ARE NACCP ACCREDITED, OFFERING SMALL CLASSROOM ENVIRONMENT, SUPPORTIVE SERVICES THROUGH BILINGUAL AND BICULTURAL FAMILY ADVOCATES.
REWA'S DOMESTIC VIOLENCE PROGRAM HAS EMPOWERED THOUSANDS OF WOMEN TO RECOVER FROM VIOLENCE AND LIVE HEALTHY LIVES THAT ARE FULL OF POSSIBILITY. IN 2019, WE OFFERED COMPREHENSIVE SUPPORT SERVICES TO 707 SURVIVORS OF DOMESTIC VIOLENCE AND SEXUAL ASSAULT. REWA PROVIDES ACCESS TO EMERGENCY HOUSING, COUNSELING, EMPLOYMENT, AND SOCIAL SERVICES. OUR LEGAL TEAM HELPS WITH LEGAL IMMIGRATION SERVICES, PROTECTION ORDERS AND COURT APPEARANCES TO HELP CLIENTS REGAIN THEIR LIVES.
