Saving Great Animals is a foster-based dog rescue dedicated to saving the lives of dogs living in high-kill shelters or from abuse or neglect. Each dog receives love and medical care and is then matched with the right adoptive family.
In 2019, Saving Great Animals received 337 dogs. Each dog was placed into a foster home, provided with medical care, was spayed or neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped. Additionally, each dog received behavioral assessments and training if needed to give the dog the best chance at adoption. We worked with over 100 foster families and finalized 288 adoptions, ensuring that each dog was placed with the right family. Our team of over 40 volunteers helped to transport dogs, run adoption events, and walk and care for dogs in rehabilitation at boarding facilities.
