THE SOVREN GUILD'S EVENTS SUPPORT THE HEALTHCARE PROGRAMS OF SEATTLE CHILDREN'S HOSPITAL (A 501(C)(3) TAX-EXEMPT HOSPITAL) WHICH PROVIDES PEDIATRIC PATIENT CARE, MEDICAL RESEARCH, TEACHING OF PEDIATRIC RESIDENTS AND OTHER HEALTHCARE PROVIDERS, AS WELL AS ADVOCACY FOR CHILDREN IN THE PACIFIC NORTHWEST. DONATIONS FROM THE SOVREN GUILD PRIMARILY PROVIDE SUPPORT TO THE UNCOMPENSATED CARE PROGRAM OF SEATTLE CHILDREN'S HOSPITAL WHICH OFFERS FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE TO PATIENTS BASED UPON FAMILY NEED AND HOSPITAL RESOURCES.

THE SOVREN GUILD WAS FORMED IN 1991 WITH THE SOLE PURPOSE OF WORKING WITH SOVREN (SOCIETY OF VINTAGE RACING ENTHUSIASTS) TO PRODUCE AND PRESENT THE PACIFIC NORTHWEST HISTORICS VINTAGE AUTO RACES PRIMARILY AS A BENEFIT FOR UNCOMPENSATED CARE AT SEATTLE CHILDREN'S HOSPITAL. IN ADDITION TO THE FUNDS THAT THE SOVREN GUILD HAS CONTRIBUTED SINCE ITS INCEPTION, THE GUILD OFFERS INCREDIBLE VISIBILITY FOR THE HOSPITAL THROUGH THE PACIFIC NORTHWEST HISTORICS. IN 1997, THE SOVREN GUILD WAS PRESENTED WITH THE SEATTLE CHILDREN'S HOSPITAL GUILD ASSOCIATION'S "CHAIRMAN'S AWARD" FOR ITS OUTSTANDING CONTRIBUTIONS TO THE HOSPITAL.
